Bharti Airtel has reportedly raised its planned investment in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) by USD150 million, to USD550 million, Agence Ecofin reports. Louis Lubala, the DRC unit’s director general, also noted that the cellco’s subscriber base has passed ten million, effectively making it the largest mobile operator in the country, narrowly ahead of Vodacom DRC.
