Angolan cellco Unitel has launched the ‘4Afrika’ smartphone, a Huawei-built model based on the Microsoft Windows 8 operating system pre-loaded with applications designed by African developers and targeted at local users. The handset is also being launched in other markets including Egypt, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria and South Africa by the end of the month, and aimed at middle-income users such as students, small business owners and developers.
