Vodafone Uganda has signed up its 100,000th customer, seven months after launching in the country under a non-equity Partner Market agreement with pan-African operator Afrimax Group. The firm offers voice and data services over a time division LTE (TD-LTE) network, providing 4G broadband coverage in greater Kampala and 2G/3G elsewhere. Vodafone Uganda CEO Allan Richardson commented: ‘We are ahead of schedule to be serving our 100,000th customer and delighted to be reaching this milestone so early in our business in a very competitive telecom market. Because our customers have chosen to trust us, we are making the commitment to continuously improve our product and service offering as well as our voice and data network.’
